Not uncommon: Trismus or inability to open the jaws is not uncommon immediately after removal of the wisdom teeth. Antibiotics, pain killers and use of soft foods for a few days can help.

Yes: Depending on the difficulty in removing your wisdom teeth, your muscles may have had a lot of strain during the surgery. Trismus can be compounded by the procedure itself and administration of the local anesthesia. Warm moist heat to the musculature helps to loosen the muscles. Also, avoid overly "chewy" foods, esp. Gum, until your muscles feel better.

Very common: Very common especially with impacted wisdom teeth. Almost always temporary. For best results, see oral surgeon for evaluation and treatment of wisdom teeth.
