Yes and no: Dentures cannot be whitened more than the original color, however if the teeth are stained, try soaking them overnight in bleach and a lot of the stains will be removed. If that does not work, see your dentist and he can polish the dentures and remove stains.

Not beyond : The shade of your denture teeth was most likely selected by you and your dentist; that shade is as white as it'll get, unless you get another set of dentures (denture teeth come in different types, shapes, translucencies and materials... Talk to your dentist on options).

No: Denture teeth is acrylic or porcelain. Whatever shade porcelain teeth are placed. They cannot be changed unless the teeth are replaced. Acrylic teeth pick up stains and can change colors depending on patients diet. Smoker, tea, dark soda or coffee drinker will stain acrylic denture teeth and natural teeth.

Dentures: No. The use of alcohol, bleach, peroxide and other agents is not recommended. You can actually etch the surface and create porosity. Increasing the likelihood of more stains. Some surface stains can be removed during a dental cleaning app (if you have more teeth). You can also get a post op app to have your dentist cleaning them in the ultrasonic. The shade they were originally is the limit.

No: Please be sure to visit your dentist at least once a year to make sure your dentures are stable n retentive. Once your dentures have been fabricated the color ofthe teeth cannot be improved. Be sure to keep them clean. In the future when you have your next dentures made go with a lighter shade because time and environmental factors will make them darker.

No: Your dentist can clean them and polish them, and they may seem whiter due to the stain removal. However, they cannot be whitened like teeth. You should see your dentist or prosthodontist every 6 months for an oral exam and denture check . As the mouth and tissues age and change, the dentures need to be adjusted , relined, replaced over time to ensure best fit and preserve remaining bone.

Consider a new one: They now manufacture much whiter denture teeth that many of my patients are choosing for their new dentures. These teeth were not available until recently and they very closely match the whitest teeth bleaching colors.

Yes: Baking soda an peroxide. First i would scrub them with chlorox to kill fungus and bacteria. (just make sure to wear eye protection in case of splashing). You can also by soaking solutions that claim to whiten your dentures.

No: Once dentures are stained there is no good safe way to bleach them back to their original shade. Some in office cleansers can clean the dentures and lighten them somewhat but that can only happen at your dental office.

See DDS: Ask the DDS to put your dentures in a special ultrasonic bath. If you want to replace the actual teeth to a lighter color that may be possible, speak with your DDS.
