Kids Cosmetic Option: Most pediatric dentists if asked will use a more cosmetic option for children. The crowns you mention are for the back part of the mouth where traditionally these are stainless steel. Most dentists now offer a white version of these crowns for kids who want a more esthetic option.

Ask: Your children's dentist about ez pedo or nu smile crowns. These are both esthetic options for back teeth. They can not be used in every case.

Lots: Ask your Dentist. If this is not a service provided in their office, ask your Dentist to refer you to a Pediatric Dental Specialist. If you're talking about capping a permanent tooth in a child's mouth, and your child will require Orthodontic Treatment, discuss options with an Orthodontist before having cap done. It is very difficult to attach braces to Porcelain.
