Way too risky: In order for this to work you need to eradicate the entire system of hiv....Ie systemic chemotherapy. This is extremely extremely dangerous. When you do this it renders the body susceptible to a myriad of illness capable of killing the host. Some of the most sad and challenging cases i've ever worked on were in the bmt ward back in boston. It's just too dangerous to be a real and viable option.
