No: You need to rinse after eating following the removal of teeth. Of more importance is how vigorously you rinse. My patients are advise to rinse lightly after eating or drinking fluids on the day of surgery to remove any residual food particles. Vigorous rinsing on the day of surgery could cause the loss of the blood clot and should be avoided.
