Neuroblastoma is ...: A malignant tumor of childhood that arises from cells of the neural crest (an embryologic precursor of the structures that make up the autonomic nervous system). Staging of neuroblastoma is complex. Age, stage and molecular features determine treatment, which varies widely from observation to tandem autologous stem cell transplant. Your pediatric oncologist can guide you more specifically.
