Ulcers: Sometimes acid reflux can cause irritation of the throat that can be very uncomfortable. Essentially, you are bathing the soft tissues of that area in acid, and exacerbating those symptoms if you are eating acidic foods or drinking liquids (ie. Coffee, soda pop, chocolate drinks) that are loaded with caffeine that stimulate acid production. Keep to water and a bland diet until you see your md.
