Yes: Endometriosis is the most common cause for chronic pelvic pain. While not every woman with endometriosis has symptoms requiring specific treatment - up to 10% of women have endometriosis.

Yes: In the fertility population, endo is reported in 40-50% of patients. In our experience, it might be 60-70%. Most patients with endometriosis don't have pelvic pain. Fertility problems are much more common. Severe pain with periods as a teenager correlates 100% with endometriosis but often pain improves in the mid 20's only to worsen again due to adenomyosis in the mid 30's.

If they're attuned: Approximately 15% of reproductive aged women & 50% of infertile women have endometriosis. Based on studies, a history of chronic pelvic pain, painful intercourse, disabling cramps during menses and abnormal menstrual periods predicts a diagnosis of endometriosis by laparoscopy 89% of the time.
