This depends...: On what sport you are looking to participate in. Higher impact sports that involve a lot of impact and stopping and starting are probably not a good idea. Few professional athletes have attempted such a return with limited success. Low impact activities should not be a problem, but you should discuss what your limitations are with your joint replacement surgeon.
