Why do so many rock stars need hip replacements? does drug use or lifestyle play a role? just curious :-)

Maybe alcohol: I'm not sure that rock stars have higher rates of hip replacement than the general population or that it is publicized when it happens. But if they do alcohol may play a role. Excess alcohol may be linked to avascular necrosis of the hip causing femoral head to collapse requiring hip replaced.
