Vit k not of use: Vitamin k will not increase platelet count. There is no harm in taking it, but it is not needed or warranted.

Won't help: Vitamin k will not help boost platelet counts. Since some cancer patients require anticoagulation because of previous clotting problems, taking vit k could interfere with certain medicines used to treat this and thus should be avoided. If your husband really wants to start vit k, please have him check with his oncologist before beginning to make sure it is safe.
