"Regular"?: Dairy? Skin? No. Diaper rash cream (like desitin (zinc oxide diaper cream) / buttpaste / antimonkeybutt / gold bond / etc.) would be reasonable to try for a couple of days. If worsens or does not improve, see pediatrician. While rash present, do best to keep area dry (extra diaper changes and/or "naked time" to expose to air).
