Bites : Insect bites are typically red itchy bumps. White heads imply a folliculitis or inflammation/ bacterial infection of the hair follicles . Corticosteroid cream for a few days to relieve itch and an antibacterial such as polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) may help. If the condition does not improve , see a dermatologist for evaluation and treatment.
