HPV: Hpv, can last a lifetime and put you at risk for cervical, rectal and throat cancer. But, there are over 140 different strains and most of them cause no permanent risk. 13 strains cause these dangerous cancers. Gardisil, the vaccine, prevents the four strains that cause 95% of the dangerous disease.
