Food Allergy: Wheat and gluten in general are potent allergens. Wait until after at least 1 year old to introduce allergenic foods: dairy, nut butters, seafood, soy, chocolate, egg, tomato, berries, cherries, tropical fruit (including avocado), citrus, wheat, barley, corn, & seeds (sesame, etc.). After a severe reaction, it is safer to test for food allergy (& celiac) first before trying the food again at home.
