Hard to tell: Without seeing you it would be hard to tell for sure... The tongue part does not appear serious but if you have swelling it could be a number of things including an infection.

Pale cheeks: Some differentials could include hypothyroid, anemia... Have you sought medical attention, blood work, dental exam? Recently. This should be your next step to get to the bottom of this as persistence for over a month although not necessarily always cause for alarm, is certainly cause for concern.
