What is nerve ablation?

Destruction of nerve: It is usually used for medial branch nerve, which supplies facet or articular joints in the back or neck. This nerve only brings back pain information from that joint and does nothing else. When it's destroyed, the pain goes away despite the abnormality remaining there - i.E arthritis.
