Most need 9: Sleep requirements vary with your activity and growth, but most at 17 will still be in a phase of growth where 9 hours would be more appropriate. 8 at one stretch and an additional power nap of 40 minutes might help, or you could try adding 15 minutes every week or so until you feel rested if that doesn't help some testing may be indicated to look for an alternate cause of the fatigue.
