6 year old girl still peeing her bed at night. she will not wake up and she will sleep with wet pee clothes on. ?

Primary: nocturnal enuresis is not in the child's control. If she has been doing this all her life and ha had a routine medical exam, you can rest assured she will eventually outgrow this developmental condition. It is usually inherited but not always. The most important thing you can do is not judge or be angry with her as it si completely out of her control. Help her understand that as she gets older it will improve. Some children have low levels of an hormone called arginine vasopressin which helps reabsorb urine form the kidney tubules and they benefit from treatment with this hormone

15% of 5-yr.-olds: have primary nocturnal enuresis, never having had at least 6 mos. of dry nights. PNE stops on its own at a rate of 15% of affected kids/year after age 5. There is often a family history of PNE. See her doctor for a 1st-voided AM urine for urinalysis. At night, put a light-weight sleeping bag on top of a plastic sheet on her bed, one she can put in the laundry. Do not scold, shame or punish her.
