Sore throat: It is virtually impossible to get strep again when you are taking medication for strep.The sore throat that you are experiencing is usually due to an adenovirus. In rare instances you might see the same situation with mono.

STREP TONSILLITIS: Make sure to take 10 days of antibiotics for complete rx. Otherwise reinfection can occur with exudate ( white spots) and other sx.

Probably not: You must take any antibiotic exactly as prescribed. If you miss doses you may have a super bug that is resistant to the antibiotic. Go back to your doctor for a recheck.
