2 allergists told me taking aspirin won't harm me altho i get 3 or 4 hives after. they say reaction is minor, tho it exists. not a true alrgy. safe?

Aspirin allergy?: More severe reactions to Aspirin can occur but i agree it would be unlikely wtih your history. Recent evidence suggests that antihistamines and montelukast (singulair) pretreatment may prevent these hive-like reactions to Aspirin and other nsaids such as Ibuprofen or naproxen. If the Aspirin is for pain relief consider using Acetaminophen instead.
