Advice: Not surprising that several years of steroids has caused bone thinning. Yet, why have you not been placed on any of a number of drugs which are used to treat directly osteoporosis? See a rheumatologist, have this specialist communicate with your neurologist. Also, consider physical therapy for strengthening and perhaps a mild increasing weight lifting program.
