I have pains/spasms below my belly-button which last long but eventually stop when i pass gas. what could be the problem and any solutions?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Gas pains: The pain you're describing sounds like gas colic. There can be lots of causes for it, often dietary -- many of the foods that are good for you, like vegetables, high-fiber cereals, and beans, can also cause gas. It might also be a sign of lactose intolerance, an inability to digest dairy products well. Try to notice if it's related to what you're eating. Simethicone works well and is otc.
