Chicken or Egg 1st?: The opposite may. That is, damage to the brain can cause a headache or migraine. High blood pressure, muscular tension, herniated disc in you neck, may all cause you to have a headache. On going headache, loss of productivity and ability to function, can lead to depression. Wrong prescription glasses may cause the headache. New glasses, & headache resolves.

Depends on reason: If you have just classic migraines, then there is not any real damage. A small group of people can have a problem in the divider in their heart that leads to migraines which overtime can cause small damage to cerebral vasculature. Headaches are often a sign of a problem more than causing the problem. Whether it is stress or an old concussion, headaches are usually more of a sign of something else.

Yes: Chronic migraine has been noted to cause radiographic abnormalities in women. Thus one should always treat chronic migraine sooner rather than later.
