Forehead spur: Erik, bone trauma and a subperiosteal reactive osteoma would give a stony hard mass. There are benign tumors (osteomas) which present similarly. Not stony hard, other "zebras" are in play. If low, say over the midbrow (frontal sinus), safety is wise. The surgeon who just blindly wants to "chisel" it would be quite "maverick". Noncontrast ct is reassuring before forehead "chiseling". Good luck.
