Yes, it may: Sam-e may help in depression. One study used sam-e as an augmentation strategy for people who did not respond to ssri's. Yes, but....: In my experience 'yes'; in europe it is prescribed for such. However here in the states is it not monitored/it's a supplement. So it is difficult to gauge how much to take. Most of the time it is too expensive to pay out of pocket to use.
