Yes and no: If you follow the manufacturers directions, the mechanical stimulation alone would help your over all oral hygiene. It will not remove tartar build up and it will not cure an abscess.

No good: Gum bleeding could be caused by simple gum inflammation or gingivitis or could be little bit more serious when the inflammation reachs the tissue that support the teeth to the bone or the periodontium (periodontitis ). It is always better to catch the situation earlier . Please get a check up by your dentist as soon as possible.

Get it checked soon: The answers are correct, you should be examined soon by your dentist, as the longer a condition such as gingivitis and periodontitis (gum disease) is untreated, the more damage it can do to your supporting bone and gum tissue, and ultimately your teeth. Some people actually have systemic conditions that are impacted by gum disease, and vice versa - it's not manageable by yourself.

Asking me: Specifically? I am an md as well as a mouth doctor, at ora - oral surgery & implant studio in chicago. And to answer your question, any inflammation to the gingiva is not good. With inflammation , irritation and infection often comes bleeding. Hopefully you have a simple case of gingivitis, which is easily reversible with proper hygiene. Best to have an evaluation with a general dentist first.

No! See the dentist: Periodontal disease (infection of the gum tissue and bones surrounding teeth) is an increasing health risk which will not go away by itself, but requires professional treatment. Sensitive andbleeding gums are not normal! in the early stage of gum disease, called gingivitis, the gums become red, swell, and bleed easily. If the disease is left untreated, it can eventually lead to loss of teeth.

See your dentist: Your teeth are really precious and they have to last the rest of your life. Gum disease damages the bone supporting your teeth and causes tooth loss. Please take my advice, go and see your dentist now, immediately, have a check up, a cleaning, and an x-ray survey, then follow the recommendations given to you.
