Possible allergies: Symptoms of rhinitis and sinusitis can be similar. There are several possibilities. The sinus infection may not have cleared with azithromycin. Or you may have rhinitis possibly due to allergies or even a combination of both. An allergist can help sort this out.

Rhinosinusitis: You likely have chronic rhinosinusitis. Treating an acute flare does not address the underlying chronic inflammation of your sinus and nasal mucosa. You might need a longer than 5 days of Azithromycin and depending on the causes of it, you might need to be on daily local anti-inflammatory medication like a nasal spray to keep it from recurring.
