A lot: Of infections have a foul smell. Pseudomonas infections to my nose is the worst. Get it checked and on antibiotics asap.

Bacterial and fungal: Smell is not necessarily related to infection, but several types of infection could also be associated with smell. Bacterial and/ or fungal and multi-organisms infection could cause smells. Hope this helps.

PSEUDOMONAS: As we are all taught in first-year Microbiology, Pseudomonas is most commonly "fruity" but I guess can be said to be "sour." See your podiatrist. Sincerely, Dr. Latva
