Hi.. im on my second pack of pill specifically on the 8th pill and had unprotected sex.. am i already safe from pregnancy?

Yes: If you took your pills regularly and haven't missed any.

You should be ok: Typically i recommend a woman take the first 7 pills in her pill pack before she has unprotected sex, so on the 8th day you should be okay. Oral contraceptives, when used perfectly, still only have a 94-96% chance of preventing pregnancy, so even if you're perfect, there's always a chance of pregnancy. If you're super worried, you can always use a condom in addition to pills.
