A 22-year-old female asked:

I missed a birth control triphasic pill in the 3rd week of my pack. when will i be safe to have unprotected sex if i skip my placebo pills?

Even with triphsic oral bcp's, missing an active pill will not diminish the overall contraceptive effect. When taking placebos for seven days does not change the contraceptive protection, missing one pill may cause mild/minor withdrawal bleeding, but just finish the pack as per usual.
