Vasculitis: There are a number of different types of vasculitis. Vasculitis means inflammation of the blood vessels. The level of the inflammation can be large arteries, small arteries, large veins, small veins, capillaries. The clinical presentation will differ depending where in the body the blood vessels are affected and the size of the vessel affected and the type of infiltrate affecting the vessel.

Yes : Giant cell or temporal arteritis causes pain along the temple and can eventually lead to blindness, all the while leaving the skin itself appearing normal. Takayasu arteritis affects the aortic arch vessels and ultimately compromises blood flow to both brain and upper extremities. Dermal sxs/signs are late, if at all. You're thinking of vasculitic diseases like raynaud's & scleroderma.
