I have been taking 5mg of diazepam daily for approximately 7 months. she feels i should taper off by 1 mg every 2 weeks until down to 1mg. agree?

I am sorry but: You aren't my patient. I don't know your full medical history (don't even know why you take diazepam). Because of this, i recommend that you go over a tapering plan with your prescribing physician.
