A member asked:

What should my target bp be for my brain aneurysms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Aneurysm: 120/80. Another option is to monitor the mean arterial pressure (map). Different formulas are available to get an estimation of the map. The basic one is diastolic blood pressure times 2 plus systolic blood pressure, then all that divided by 3. The target is to keep MAP at or near 90. In the setting of acute hemorrhage the control of blood pressure should be slowly and with hydration.
