Tic vs Tourette's: If this is a patterned(repetative and consistant) event this sounds like a tic or could be a neurologic condition called tourette's syndrome. Tic's occur in up to 15% of school age kids/ts in<1%. Write up a good review of all you can remember about when the movements started, review your family history for similar events & take it in with your kid for your dr to review.

Habitual: The description of the behavior sounds like habitual in nature and should not be pathologic. It should resolve with time. If not, see a pediatrician.

Sounds: Like one oof those things kids and sometimes adults do subconsciously. More of a nervous or figet type of movement.

Tics: Sounds like he is having multiple tics. Speak to your pediatrician about this. He may benefit from a consultation with a neurologist and is necessary, medication.
