Variable: Iui can be done at the same time as injection of HCG as viable sperm are present in the fallopian tubes for 72 hours after insemination. Many doctors will schedule IUI 24-36 hours after HCG injection to try to time insemination closer to ovulation. Ovulation should occur 24 hours or so after HCG injection.
