A member asked:

When should the hormonal tests be performed for pcos?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Pcos is a constellation of abnormalities including irregular periods, weight gain, excess hair growth, infertility. There are no definitive tests that make the diagnosis but one can find abnormalities in glucose, lipids, male hormone levels, lh/fsh ratio, prolactin. Testing depends on the particular clinical findings that suggest pcos.
