Right away: You can take these drugs at the same time if it's desired. The zithromax has a long half life and will remain in your body for 5 days after you stop taking it. Clindamycin's half life is much shorter and it will be eliminated from your body much more rapidly after stopping it.

Had strep, was on the Z-Pak. Symptoms improved but throat was still sore and the ear bothered me. Now on clindamycin for 10 days for an ear infection. Ear feels less sore/full but throat on the right side is sore. Could this be drainage from the ear?
With Clindamycin - doctor prescribed, obviously - are side effects like nausea more likely to occur the longer you take it?
If taking Clindamycin for the first time, how soon after starting it would any allergic reactions occur? Would it be right away if taking it 3 times a day, or would it take a few days?
