Inner ear problem: Meniere's is an episodic problem felt to be a fluid problem of the inner ear. When an attack occurs, there is tinnitus, loss of hearing in the affected ear, and a severe loss of balance making standing up and walking usually impossible. The cause is unknown. The treatment is difficult and includes things like salt depletion, Meclizine tabs, and various elimination diets. See an ENT doc.
