What can i do to help my baby get into position before going into labor?

Nothing: The baby will position itself prior to delivery. Sometimes this dose not occur and the baby can present either feet first or horizontally. If this occurs the physician may be able to encourage the baby to change position, however, the mother usually cannot do much.

Call 911: Call 911. Don't panic. Have someone pour some rubbing alcohol over a section of the umbillical cord and tie a clean shoe lace soaked in rubbing alcohol around the cord. You do not have to cut the cord. Dry the baby with clean towels and wrap in clean dry towels to keep warm.
