Depends: There can be numerous reasons that vary from pregnancy to pregnancy, for why certain tests are ordered. Routinely, urine samples are run to ensure there is no infection present in the urine as well as to make sure there are no proteins that are spilling into the urine. Blood tests may be more specific to an individual pregnancy. Good luck!
