Telomeres: The question is how to activate telomerase which is the enzyme that adds to the length of telomeres - the protective "caps" on the end of your chromosomes. Healthy living (diet, exercise, meditation) has been shown to decrease the rate of telomere shortening, but it is unclear whether it activates telomerase or that is something you want. This is one of many theories of aging.
