PTSD: Depends on the extent of the traumatic events, the psyche (personality), the meaning of the event, and what support system the person has. Re-experiencing of the event, hyper vigilance, avoidance of situations that trigger memories of event.

Psychotherapy: Find a reputable psychotherapist to discuss the symptoms that you have outlined here to find out if you do have PTSD. Also inquire from your psychotherapist if a psychiatric evaluation and possible medication would be of benefit to you, depending on the severity of your symptoms.

PTSD: Check the National Center for PTSD, EMDRIA for definitions and most recommended treatments. But even if someone else thinks what happened to you isn't traumatic, it is how you respond to the event that is important.
