See details: An MRI can identify urate crystals inside a joint. If there is damage there can be erosive changes noted on MRI that are very suggestive of gout.

Looks like: An MRI is very useful but i find aspiration of the joint. If you look at it under a microscope it looks similar to tiny abundant snow flakes.
