A member asked:

Might a prolonged low grade fever of 99.9 be a symptom of uncontrolled high blood pressure?

No: Low grade fevers are not associated with high blood pressure. However, another condition, like a kidney infection, could cause fever and if kidneys affected enough, could influence your blood pressure. But the fever alone is not related directly to the blood pressure.

No: Fever is not a sign of high blood pressure. It is usually a sign of infection or inflammation. Certain other diseases may cause fever as well. See your doctor for evaluation.
