A member asked:

At what age, on average, do diabetics with type 1 die?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unknown: I can't give you an average death age. It would be irrelevant anyway, since ongoing changes in diabetes care have been leading to longer lifespans for all diabetics. What is clear, is that the closer your sugars are to normal, the less likely you are to develop complications of diabetes that would lower your lifespan. No one can predict when you will die, you can only try your best.
