Usually none: In otherwise young healthy individuals (no heart disease) the increased heart rate that can occur during an asthma attack or be related to treating an asthma attack (albuterol inhaler), will resolve on its own and not lead to heart problems. If the heartbeat, is irregular (skipping beats), associated with palpitations or greater than 180 beats per minutes, a heart doctor should be involved.
