More info needed: Need more information to accurately answer your question. How long do the spots last? How do they start? How do they change with time? How large are they? How many? Exact color? Bruise? Do they go away completely. Photos would help.

Rash: This can't be diagnosed with the information that is available. A history, physical examination & other studies may be needed to determine cause/causes. Once accurately assessed a treatment plan can be developed.

Our15 month old baby has a recurring rash consisting of flat, round red or dark purple spots. There is usually between 3 - 10 spots. They fade after a couple of hours. 2 - 5 mm diameter.
