Blood from below: Bright red blood will mean it originates from near the outlet and likely has nothing to do with the jia. Bulky or hard stools can cause a crack in the anal skin that will bleed intermittently. An inflammatory process near the outlet (proctitis) will also sometimes cause brb. Any blood from higher up in the GI tract will change color as it is attacked by enzymes in the gut.

Call your doctor: Call your doctor immediately. The blood could be a sign of a GI bleed from her medications. Hope all goes well.

Intestinal Bleeding: You must contact your child's doctor & let them know about this right away. Some of the medicines may cause stomach ulcers and bleeding, so your child should see their doctor.
