Time: An avulsed nail comes off at the root. If the root is not disturbed by crushing or direct injury, the nail will regrow. There is no way to speed this up although a well balanced diet is helpful. The regrowth speed depends upon the nail involved - hands are faster than feet for instance.

Nail avulsions: can be very painful for patients. Partial nail avulsions are very common. I typically will recommend having them removed so a new fresh nail can grow out in its place. The cure is being patient as it regrows!

It's torture..: Since nail avulsion occurs most often from a traumatic event happening to the toe, the obvious cure is to avoid toe injuries. These injuries can be from shoes, running, dropping something on the toe, severe infections, hematomas just to name a few.
